Whats New
Two week ago Dad and I brought nine hogs to the butcher and kept two for ourselves out of the first batch and still have eleven more hogs to haul in from the first batch when they are full grown.

Last week Peter was not able to train Darla at all Because Peter and I were getting ready to pour a concrete slab which Peter, Jonathan, Andrew and I did to day, I will post some pictures on that soon.
Time for bed.

Clinton Anderson's Books
From the title you can probably guess what the post is about. Last weekend a friend of Mom's went to one of Clinton Anderson's (you probably know that I'm a fan of his) Walk About Tours in ST.Paul MN When she was there she bought me two books.
This book is about establishing respect and control for English and Western riders. She also had Clinton Anderson autograph the book, even thought she had to wait in line for one hour to get it.
The second book that she got me was all about ground work.

It's a heifer!
Not sure when the the heifer was born but a little while ago Dad found the calf in the barn. Mom will probably post about it on her blog when she gets time.

New Animals
Today Della had her calf at about 4:00 in the morning, so of course we also had to get up and dry the calf off so it wouldn't get cold and die. Here is some pictures of both the young pigs and the calf . You can go over to Mom's blog to get more details on the pigs. The sow had 13 piglets it would have been 14 but one never finished growing inside her.
The calf sleeping.
This pig I like the most because of it's orange skin and black polka dots
All the pigs drinking off there the sow.
